Stückstein, Mountain summit in Eslarn, Germany
The Stückstein rises to an elevation of 808 meters, featuring a 32-meter observation tower that provides views across the Upper Palatinate Forest and Fichtelgebirge.
The Stückstein observation tower, constructed in 1974 by the Upper Palatinate Forest Association, received an additional viewing platform enhancement in 2017.
The mountain area contains a natural monument rock formation and serves as a central point for local hiking traditions in the Upper Palatinate region.
Visitors can access the observation tower through a 5-kilometer circular trail starting from the Lindauer Forest House in Eslarn, with free entry available day and night.
Scientists have documented 350 butterfly species and 104 fungus varieties within the mountain's untouched forest environment, demonstrating its ecological diversity.
