Szczecin Gumieńce-Grambow border crossing

The Szczecin Gumieńce-Grambow crossing is a railway junction linking the station in Gumieńce, Poland with Grambow station in Germany along the Bützow-Szczecin railway line. The facility forms a transport hub at the border where trains cross between both countries.

The railway connection was originally established in the 19th century as part of the rail network development linking Szczecin and Lübeck. Formal border control operations at the crossing ceased in December 2007 following the expansion of the Schengen area.

The crossing point once facilitated regular exchanges between Polish and German communities through passenger trains connecting Szczecin with several German cities. Today, the stations on both sides continue to serve as important hubs for travelers moving between the two countries.

The crossing is used today by Deutsche Bahn Regional-Express trains that run without border checks between Szczecin and Lübeck. Travelers can use the stations in the standard way, as Schengen regulations have simplified cross-border travel.

The site retains its function as a tariff checkpoint along the Bützow-Szczecin railway line, where certain rail tariffs are still verified. This is a remnant of the former border regime that today holds only administrative significance.
