Altenberger Hof

The Altenberger Hof is a former monastery estate in Cologne's Nippes district with traditional architecture and a central courtyard. The restored building contains multiple rooms for events, meetings, and cultural activities.

The site traces its origins to Roman settlement in the 2nd century, with the first documented mention appearing in 1199. From 1432 to 1803, monks from Altenberg Abbey made this their residence and maintained trading activities there.

Today the building hosts orchestra performances, theater productions, and art exhibitions that draw neighbors and visitors together. Local artists and musicians regularly use the spaces, giving the place an active community character.
