Götzenhain, Historical district in Dreieich, Germany.
Götzenhain is a district of Dreieich featuring traditional timber-frame houses and green spaces spread across rolling terrain. The area maintains a village-like character with historic buildings that have been preserved alongside newer residential developments.
The settlement began as a kitchen village serving a castle and was first documented in 1318. By 1418 it came under the rule of the County of Isenburg, a transition that shaped its later development.
The village features traditional timber-frame houses with dark wooden beams that reflect its old artisan heritage. The Baroque church at its center with distinctive glass windows remains a gathering place for locals.
The area is well connected to the Rhine-Main transport network through the Dreieichbahn railway, making it easy to reach surrounding regions. Walking paths through the green spaces make it a pleasant destination for those exploring on foot.
The Grüne Born spring, whose water has been known since at least 1270, originates here and forms the source of the Bieberbach stream. The spring was given a new enclosure in 2011 and now contributes to a valuable natural area.
