The castle stands on four hectares of parkland and features a main building with approximately 400 square meters of living space.
Heinrich von Brühl, the Saxon Prime Minister, established the castle in 1732, and Friedrich the Great occupied the estate for four days in 1757.
The castle maintains its position as a regional cultural center by hosting concerts, exhibitions, and civil ceremonies throughout the year.
The castle functions as a hotel and event venue, offering conference rooms and banquet halls for seminars, training sessions, and wedding celebrations.
After a fire in 1992 damaged much of the interior, the castle underwent extensive renovations and transformed from a school dormitory into a modern hotel.
