Schliersberg

Schliersberg is a mountain summit in the Bavarian Prealps with dense forest covering its slopes. The mountain features marked hiking paths, and at around 1,055 meters elevation sits the Schliersbergalm with dining and recreation facilities.

A cable car was installed in 1952 to reach the Schliersbergalm station, which transformed access to the mountain. This infrastructure changed the site from a local destination into a popular excursion spot for the wider region.

The name Schliersbergalm refers to the alpine pasture tradition that has shaped this mountain for generations. Visitors can experience how the location brings together hikers and locals who share the mountain landscape.

The mountain is accessible on foot via hiking trails from Schliersee village, or conveniently by cable car. The trails are walkable year-round, though snow in winter can change conditions considerably.

Visitors can ride a summer toboggan run installed at the alp for a direct downhill experience. Combined with mini-golf and an outdoor swimming pool, these activities make the mountain appealing to different kinds of visitors.
