Hallenbad Nordhorn, Office building and architectural heritage monument in Nordhorn, Germany
The building features a characteristic facade along the Stadtring, complemented by a pavilion that formerly served as a milk bar and ice cream parlor.
Inaugurated in 1953, this structure marked the first indoor swimming pool construction in Lower Saxony after World War II, later transforming into office spaces.
The transition from a public swimming facility to administrative offices in 2017 reflects the evolution of urban infrastructure needs in Nordhorn.
The building now functions as the headquarters of the local housing association Gewo, while maintaining its protected architectural elements.
Following a major fire in 2012 that damaged most of the complex, only the front facade remained intact, leading to its current administrative purpose.
