Herrenhaus Lehsen, Manor house in Wittenburg, Germany
The two-story plastered building features nine axes with a central portico supported by four Tuscan columns and a flat triangular pediment.
Joseph Christian Lillie designed this manor house in 1822 for chamberlain Ernst August von Laffert, marking the entrance with Roman numerals MDCCCXXII.
The building displays the motto 'Musis et Amicis' above its entrance, reflecting Ernst August von Laffert's dedication to arts and hospitality.
After extensive renovations in 1977 and a period of vacancy following German reunification, the manor house received new residents in 2004.
The property includes a neo-Gothic funeral chapel from 1868, standing on a moated mound with architectural similarities to Schwerin Castle Church.
