Vater-und-Sohn-Denkmal in Plauen, Bronze monument at Nobelstraße 7, Plauen, Germany.
The sculpture depicts a father and son walking hand in hand while holding a book, standing on two square bases near Vogtlandmuseum.
Created by artist Erik Seidel in 1995, the monument was donated to Plauen by Hans Löwel, an entrepreneur from Bamberg.
The figures represent characters from Erich Ohser's cartoons, published under the pseudonym e.o.plauen between 1934 and 1937.
The monument stands at coordinates 50.493632, 12.134397, next to the Erich-Ohser-Haus and remains accessible throughout the year.
During a 2012 exhibition, the entire bronze sculpture received a temporary textile covering, transforming its appearance completely.
