The Auferstehungskirche is a Baroque church in Frankfurt characterized by curved lines, ornate details, and an elaborately designed altar. The interior displays typical features of 17th-century Baroque architecture, with decorative elements filling the space throughout.

A church in Praunheim was first documented in 1132, when Archbishop Adalbert of Mainz bought the right from the free lord Gottfried von Bruch. The medieval church burned down on 20 July 1748 after a carpenter ignored warnings while working; services were then held in the neighbouring Zehntscheune for 24 years. The present Baroque hall church was built from 1770 to 1773, with the foundation stone laid on 16 September 1770 and consecration in 1772. Destroyed by aerial bombs in 1945, it was rebuilt between 1946 and 1948 and reconsecrated on 5 June 1948.

The name Auferstehungskirche (Resurrection Church) dates from 1927, when the Lutheran parish founded in 1646 became the evangelical-united Auferstehungsgemeinde. Two stained-glass windows designed by the Praunheim painter Willi Petri (1916–2009) were installed in 1990 flanking the chancel. A chandelier and two wood carvings are gifts from Poland, thanking the congregation for aid transports organised there in the 1980s.

The church stands at Graebestraße 8–10 in the Praunheim district, not in central Frankfurt, so allow for a trip out from the city centre. The entrance is on the long side of the building, under the small red-roofed porch between the arched windows. The surrounding cemetery was moved to Haingrabenstraße in 1835, so no graves remain around the walls.

The interior was deliberately kept plain after the 1946–1948 rebuild, and the wooden fittings were repainted in historic red and green only in 1980. Two stained-glass windows by the Praunheim painter Willi Petri (1916–2009) were added beside the altar area in 1990.
