Räuchermännchenmuseum Cranzahl, Incense smoker figures museum in Sehmatal, Germany
The Räuchermännchenmuseum exhibits over 2000 wooden smoking figures across 200 square meters of display space in a former dye factory building.
The museum opened its doors on April 28, 2012, becoming Germany's first institution dedicated to collecting and presenting traditional Räuchermännchen smoking figures.
The collection represents different professions through smoking figures, including hunters, forest workers, night watchmen, railway workers, and miners from the Erzgebirge region.
From March to August, visitors can explore the museum Monday through Saturday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with different hours on Sundays and holidays.
The museum's collection ranges from tiny 5-centimeter smoking figures to large 80-centimeter specimens, displaying the variety in traditional German craftsmanship.
