St. Antonius, Catholic church building in Babelsberg, Germany.
The rectangular church features a 34-meter tower with a copper-covered spire and red brick-framed narrow windows illuminating the main worship area.
Wilhelm Fahlbusch designed and constructed St. Antonius in 1933 to accommodate the increasing Catholic population who previously traveled to Peter-and-Paul Church.
The 1942 apse mosaic represents the Lamb of God from the Book of Revelation, created by August Wagner company under artist Egbert Lammers direction.
The church maintains a kindergarten and provides Caritas services to its 2400 members while offering regular religious ceremonies throughout the year.
The asymmetrical tower design combines with modern architectural elements of Neue Sachlichkeit, departing from traditional church construction patterns of that period.
