Construction of the estate occurred between 1723 and 1727 under Hans Christoph III von Katte, following earlier mentions of the property in 1650.
The building includes a grand garden hall on the ground floor and an ornate stucco festoon hall with fireplaces on the upper level.
Located between Potsdam and Brandenburg an der Havel, the manor house can be reached within 60 minutes from Berlin-Mitte by car.
From 1952 to 2005, this noble estate served as a local school before its transformation into a cultural center by descendants of the von Katte family.
