St. Petri, Lutheran church in Ratzeburg, Germany

The church features double-story galleries surrounding the interior space and a late Baroque pulpit altar with decorative elements at its center.

The original structure, first mentioned in documents from 1301, was replaced between 1787 and 1791 by architect Johann Friedrich Laves.

The church received a sculpture titled The Teaching Christ in 2013 to commemorate the 75th death anniversary of artist Ernst Barlach.

The church contains a Karl Schuke organ from 1980 with 31 registers across two manuals and pedals with mechanical playing action.

The church tower, added in 1911 in neo-baroque style, stands on the ridge of the building rather than at ground level.
