Maria Schnee

The stone church was constructed in 1871, replacing two wooden chapels that previously stood on the site. This transformation was prompted by a religious movement sparked by the discovery of a sacred image within an oak tree in 1803.

The interior features a classicist altar from the early 19th century, with a painting of Our Lady of the Snows displayed in a gilded frame. This artwork reveals how the parish has centered its devotion around this particular Marian image, which continues to draw visitors seeking a connection to this form of religious expression.

The building is located at Im Eichet 27 and is easily recognizable by its distinctive roof turret. The church provides a quiet space where visitors can spend time taking in the interior decorations at a leisurely pace.
