Volksbad Mönchengladbach is a public swimming complex with sports pools, water slides, and children's play areas. The facility also features large grass areas where visitors can spend time away from the water.

Volksbad Mönchengladbach was built between 1924 and 1926 in the Bungtwald, northeast of the Volksgarten. It was listed as monument P 016 on 20 May 2004. The two 1929 technical buildings north of the central operations block were added later, and the western staff house was demolished in 2003 after severe structural damage.

The bath's name, Volksbad, marks it as a people's bath, built for public use rather than private clubs. Its 107-metre operations building separates the sports pool in the south from the bathing pool in the north, and the roof terraces above the side halls hold 800 spectators overlooking both. The grounds were laid out with extensive sunbathing lawns and playgrounds.

The complex operates during specific seasons, so visitors should check opening times before planning a visit. Several options for entry and equipment rental are available at the facility.

The sports pool originally had eight starting blocks, enough to host international championships; the site was designed for 2,000 bathers. The 107-metre reinforced-concrete operations building holds a water tower and a cloakroom hall, and its roof terraces seat 800 spectators.
