St. Jakobus, Baroque church building in Ensdorf, Germany.

The interior of St. Jakobus features a three-bay nave, a single-bay choir with a three-sided closure, and a dome-covered transept with intricate designs.

The church, initially built in wood in 1123 and consecrated by Bishop Otto of Bamberg, underwent multiple reconstructions before its current baroque form in 1717.

The high altar painting by Gebhard von Prüfening depicts St. James and the coronation of Mary, while Cosmas Damian Asam created the ceiling paintings.

The church remains active with regular services, and visitors can access current schedules and announcements through the new parish community website.

Eight side altars in the sanctuary display artistic representations, including specific themes related to Mary and the Holy Cross.
