Ostseeresort Olpenitz, Bauprojekt eines Ferienparks auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Marinestützpunktes in Olpenitz an der Ostsee
Ostseeresort Olpenitz is a holiday village near Kappeln built on a former naval base, spanning approximately 86 hectares of land. Most of its accommodations containing over 5000 beds are spread across holiday homes and apartments positioned directly by the water, along the Schlei fjord, or by the beach, with many offering views over the sea or located just meters from the sand.
The resort was built on the site of a former naval base, transforming this military area into a place for leisure and relaxation. Some old structures remain as reminders of its past, while the resort continues to expand and develop year after year.
The name refers to the location by Olpenitz Bay and the Baltic Sea. Visitors experience a relaxed coastal rhythm where people gather in cafes, take long walks along the shore, and enjoy local seafood together.
The resort is easily accessible by car with adequate parking available on-site. Current facilities include a Lidl supermarket, a cafe, and small shops near the harbor, with a larger shopping area expected to be completed around 2026.
The resort features floating houses in the harbor, including houseboats and other water-based structures that give guests the sensation of living directly on the water. Visitors can enjoy the gentle sound of water and have immediate access to the shoreline from these unique accommodations.
