Eisstadion Kaufbeuren

Eisstadion Kaufbeuren is a modern ice arena with a competition rink and spectator seating arranged around the ice surface. The facility accommodates up to 3,500 people during events, with both seated and standing areas available.

This facility opened in October 2017 as a modern replacement for the previous ice rink at Berliner Platz, which had served the city since 1958. The new construction provided the community with an updated venue for ice sports.

This venue serves as the home base for the ESV Kaufbeuren ice hockey team and brings the community together during the season. Fans and families gather here to watch matches and participate in the local sports culture.

Before this venue was built, Kaufbeuren's earliest ice hockey matches took place on a frozen pond in Jordanpark. This shows how the sport evolved from outdoor ice to a dedicated indoor facility.
