The Capitol cinema opened on November 14, 1927, designed by architect Bunse following Ottomar Tschakert's plans, with initial seating for nearly 1000 people.
The theater maintains both modern film screenings and traditional artistic performances, including contemporary dance courses and theatrical productions throughout the year.
The venue provides reduced-price tickets for students and trainees, while offering a vision bar separated from the cinema hall by glass walls.
The Capitol contains an orchestra pit and stage rooms on both sides, with a screen that could be covered by two differently colored curtains.
