Schloss Zinneberg, Heritage castle in Glonn, Germany
The castle stands on the eastern edge of Zinneberg hill, surrounded by dense trees that partially conceal its grand architectural features.
First documented in 1332 as a noble residence, the castle underwent significant transformations under various owners including the Fugger family and Countess Maria Leopoldine.
The Sisters of Good Shepherd maintain educational programs and youth support services within the castle walls, continuing a tradition of community service.
The castle complex includes workshops, a bakery, a monastery shop, and guest rooms that are accessible to visitors throughout the year.
A freestanding wooden staircase from 1905 connects three floors of the castle, representing an engineering achievement of its time.
