Schloss Günzach, Historical castle in Günzach, Germany.
Schloss Günzach is a three-wing manor house in Günzach, Bavaria, built in 1730 and with its facades updated around 1900. The main building has hipped roofs and is flanked by a machine house to the north and a two-wing farm building to the southeast.
After the secularization of 1803, Johann Friedrich acquired the property and converted it into a brewery. The Gabler family then ran the operation from 1855 to 1875.
The chapel on the grounds is dedicated to the Holy Family and dates to 1902. It reflects the Catholic faith that has long shaped daily life in this part of the Allgäu region.
The manor stands on Aitranger Strasse 2 and is easy to reach on foot. The main building and the surrounding outbuildings are clearly visible from outside the grounds.
When the brewery closed in 1930, the property became home to the first Allgäu Glass Manufactory. The site went from producing beer to making industrial glass within just a few decades.
