Kloster Gerlachsheim, Premonstratensian monastery in Gerlachsheim, Germany.

Kloster Gerlachsheim is a former Premonstratensian monastery featuring a three-nave church with a distinctive dome, lantern, and two towers. The interior displays Baroque ornaments and stucco work that give the space its impressive character.

The monastery was founded in 1197 by the Premonstratensians as a women's religious community. The Peasants' War of 1525 caused significant damage, leading to its dissolution in 1563.

The church reflects Baroque design principles where craftsmanship and artistic skill shaped every detail of worship spaces. The religious objects and carefully carved woodwork show how faith was practiced and expressed across generations.

The site is located at Würzburger Strasse 83 in Lauda-Königshofen and is easy to reach. The church is open for daily visits, while the remainder of the complex serves other functions today.

After closure, the complex went through several transformations, first serving as a castle. In 1875 it became a school for deaf children, showing how historical buildings adapted to new purposes.
