Klinikstraße 29 is a building with a two-story side section and a three-story central part topped with a mansard roof and set on a limestone base. The interior contains two lecture halls seating 520 people total, along with multiple seminar rooms, simulation areas, and student study spaces.
The building was founded in 1907 as a surgical clinic and shows architectural elements from both the Baroque and Classical periods. It has since been updated to meet the evolving needs of medical education.
The entrance displays the Latin inscription 'VULNERANDO SANAMUS', meaning 'We heal by wounding', which reflects the medical mission of the place. These words shape how people understand the purpose and character of the work done inside.
The building is best visited during daytime when medical activities are underway and you can get a genuine sense of daily use. The architecture and rooms are visible from the hallways without requiring special permission to enter.
