Friedenskirche, Lutheran church building in St. Pauli district, Germany.
The Friedenskirche features neo-Romanesque brick architecture with a simplified exterior design following post-war reconstruction in the St. Pauli neighborhood of Hamburg.
The church, designed by architect Johannes Otzen in the 1890s, underwent reconstruction after extensive damage during the 1943 bombing raids of World War II.
The building operates as both a Lutheran worship center and an educational facility, serving the Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirchengemeinde Altona-Ost congregation.
Located at Otzenstraße 19 in Hamburg, the church stands on a pentagonal square formed by the intersection of Otzenstraße and Am Brunnenhof.
The church replaced its original Dinse brothers organ with an instrument crafted by E.F. Walcker & Cie during its post-war reconstruction period.
