The BallsportArena Dresden is a large indoor hall located in the city that hosts a wide range of events with modern architecture and design. Inside, the open space features good acoustics and lighting suited for sports like basketball, volleyball, and handball, as well as concerts and conferences.

The venue opened in 2017 as one of Saxony's newest sports facilities, originally built to support the handball team HC Elbflorenz. Since then, it has grown into a multifunctional event space that also hosts concerts and various other activities.

The venue serves as a gathering place for Dresden's sports community and local clubs who regularly use it for their activities. People come together here to watch matches, enjoy concerts, or attend community events that connect different groups in the city.

The hall stands in the Sportpark Ostra in Friedrichstadt, west of the Inner Altstadt, at the corner of Magdeburger and Weißeritzstraße, opposite the Yenidze building and next to the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. Trams stop at Weißeritzstraße and Kongresszentrum. The Eisporthalle and DSC-Halle are nearby.

The building also holds five squash courts, a Kegelbahn (German ninepin/skittle alley, not tenpin bowling), a sauna with an exercise pool and a physiotherapy practice. The hall seats up to 3,000 for sport, all seated, and can be expanded to 4,000 for concerts.
