The Netzaberg Chapel is a military house of prayer in Eschenbach with a wave-shaped exterior and a main hall that seats 600 people. The central area features an arch structure, and the facility includes a baptismal room, library, seminar rooms, offices, kitchen, and modern multimedia systems for broadcasting services to adjacent spaces.
The chapel was constructed starting in 2014 as part of the Efficient-Basing Project and opened in 2017. It was created to serve as a central gathering place for the US military community.
The chapel serves the military community and is used by different religious groups. The spaces can be easily adapted to accommodate Christian, Baptist, Jewish, and Muslim services.
The building is easy to navigate and all functional areas are clearly marked. Access to the various rooms is barrier-free, so all visitors can use the facilities without difficulty.
The cross at the altar can be hidden behind a wooden wall to accommodate different faiths. The pews also feature hidden compartments for prayer books and other items.
