The Stadtkirche Unser lieben Frauen features three naves, four bays, and a distinctive twelve-sided choir section with intricate network vaulting patterns.
First mentioned in 1303, the church underwent reconstruction after a fire in 1450, with the sacristy remaining as the only original structure.
The church contains a sandstone pulpit crafted by Abraham Conrad Buchau in 1667, displaying carved representations of Moses and spiral staircase details.
The Friedrich Ladegast organ, installed in 1880 and expanded in 2009, contains 39 registers across three manuals and pedals with 72 additional registers.
Underground storage vaults and caves surround the church grounds, previously used for grain storage and as refuge spaces during challenging times.
