Allerheiligenkirche, Gothic church in Kleinschwarzenlohe, Germany

The Allerheiligenkirche is a Gothic church building in Kleinschwarzenlohe with stone walls, pointed arches, and tall windows that fill the interior with natural light during the day. The architecture shows typical Gothic features that make the space feel vertical and draw the eye upward.

The building was first mentioned in writing in 1448 and later served as a burial site for the Rieter family from Kornburg. This family shaped the place for several generations until their line ended.

The church is dedicated to All Saints, a name that reflects its spiritual purpose. Visitors can see a work by the renowned sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider here, which shows what artistic importance this place held for the region.

The interior is easy to access and can be visited depending on the season. It makes sense to check local information about opening times beforehand, as the church may not be open daily.

A sculpture by the artist Tilman Riemenschneider from 1491 can be seen inside and shows the religious craftsmanship of the late Middle Ages. This altar work is a rare example of the handiwork of that era that survived in this relatively small house of worship.
