Villa Habsburg, Architectural heritage monument in Pöcking, Germany.

Villa Habsburg is a five-story neoclassical residence in Pöcking with 19 rooms across roughly 600 square meters, featuring original wood paneling and period chandeliers throughout. The property sits on an expansive lot with a private driveway from Hindenburgstrasse that shields the house from street view.

Built in 1902 for court conductor Hugo Röhr, the house underwent substantial renovations in 1922 under new owner Hedwig Schmid, who modernized its interior design. These changes left a lasting mark on the property's character and finishes.

The villa served as a singing school where soprano Sophie Röhr-Brajnin trained young female students who stayed with local families during the early 1900s. This musical role shaped the cultural life of the surrounding area.

The property is accessible only by private drives and provides complete seclusion from the public street. Visitors should inquire about access arrangements in advance, as this remains a private residential property.

From 1954 until 2011, Otto von Habsburg, eldest son of Austria's last emperor, resided here and the estate became known as Villa Austria during that period. This chapter significantly shaped how people viewed the property internationally.
