Schloss Ratzenhofen, Castle in Elsendorf, Germany
The castle consists of four wings arranged in two stories, featuring a hipped roof and an inner courtyard with decorative arcade galleries.
First documented in 1040, the castle changed ownership in 1377 when it became part of the Duchy of Lower Bavaria-Landshut.
The St George Chapel occupies the upper floor of the west wing, extending from the main facade and includes a wooden bell tower.
Located at Dorfstrasse 32 in Elsendorf, the castle offers spaces for events and maintains regular visiting hours from spring through autumn.
Between 1767 and 1771, Joseph Ignatz von Kretz transformed the medieval fortress into the current castle structure with its characteristic design.
