St. Quirin, Former monastery and Catholic parish church in Tegernsee, Germany.
St. Quirin features a three-aisled pillar basilica with a transept, side chapels, and a western double-tower facade dating from different centuries.
The monastic community at Tegernsee was established around 746 by brothers Oatkar and Adalbert, who brought Saint Quirinus relics from Pope Zacharias.
The church houses intricate ceiling frescoes created by Hans Georg Asam and Rococo chapels with sculptures by Johann Baptist Straub from 1746.
St. Quirin stands at Schloßplatz 2 in Tegernsee, functioning as part of the Miesbach deanery within the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
A spring emerged at the site where Saint Quirinus relics rested during their transport from Rome to Tegernsee between 766 and 769.
