Schloss Fürstenstein, Mountain castle in Berchtesgaden, Germany.
The castle sits at the end of Kälbersteig, featuring three floors with a gabled roof and classical plaster arrangement on its exterior walls.
Fürstpropst Michael Balthasar von Christalnigg built the castle in 1758 and gifted it to the Augustinian canons of Berchtesgaden in 1768.
The castle included Saint Mary's Chapel, which features Rococo architecture and decorations that represent regional religious artistic expressions.
The property now houses six vacation apartments and one holiday home, managed by Max Aicher Group since 2017.
From 1803, the castle housed the first pharmacy in Berchtesgaden, established by Michael Pirngruber after the secularization of Bavaria.
