Petzenschloss, Medieval castle in Lichtenhof, Germany
The Petzenschloss features a rectangular sandstone structure with four corner turrets topped by pyramid roofs and a central saddle roof design.
Built in 1578 by merchant Valentin Schönborn, the castle gained its name when his daughter married Pius Petz, whose family maintains ownership until present day.
The building represents the traditional Nuremberg Weiherhaus architectural style, with timber-framed outbuildings surrounding the main stone structure.
Located at Wirthstrasse 76 in Nuremberg, the castle stands near the Gustav Adolf Church and remains accessible through local transportation networks.
During the Thirty Years War in 1632, King Gustaf Adolf established his military headquarters at the castle before imperial troops damaged the structure.
