Description
Stadtkirche St. Laurentius is a Gothic church with three naves, where the central nave features star vaults and the side aisles are marked by cross-ribbed vaults. The building also contains a three-tiered altarpiece and a stone monument from the 1200s.
History
Following a city fire in 1382, the church was rebuilt in the 1400s, with the north aisle completed in 1408 and the south aisle in 1463. This rebuilding phase created the Gothic form visible today.

The church shapes the city's skyline with its Gothic form and displays inside an altarpiece from the 1600s showing biblical scenes in detailed craftsmanship. This artwork tells the story of the town's religious focus across many centuries.
