Stadtkirche Unserer Lieben Frauen auf dem Berge

The Stadtkirche features a three-nave, six-bay hall church design with a seven-sided polygon at its eastern end and a tower in the northwest corner.

Construction of the church began in 1476 with the tower, followed by the nave completed in 1499, while the consecration took place in 1515.

The church ceiling, painted in 1688, displays 68 motifs depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament, representing religious art from that period.

The church contains four bronze bells of different sizes and weights, cast by various foundries throughout its history.

The Chapel of Glory, dating from 1380, serves as the burial site for Burgrave Albrecht von Leisnig and remains intact within the current church structure.
