Europabrunnen, Heritage fountain in Königsheimplatz, Dresden, Germany

The Europabrunnen features a central bronze sculpture group depicting Europa on a bull, set against a 14-meter sandstone wall with water basins.

Professor Georg Wrba designed and completed this fountain in 1922 following Dresden's incorporation of the Blasewitz district in 1921.

The fountain represents the mythological tale of Europa, daughter of the Phoenician king Agenor, who Zeus carried away in bull form.

Located at coordinates 51.054009° N, 13.786128° E, visitors can access the fountain through multiple pathways in the Königsheimplatz square.

During World War II, authorities removed the original bronze sculptures for metal collection, with new figures created by Lothar Janus in 1995.
