Industriepalast Brandenburger Straße 14; 16a; 16b

The Industriepalast is a factory building from the early 1900s with two wings rising three to five stories high. The facades feature artificial stone surfaces with vertical concrete elements that define its presence on Brandenburger Street.

The building was constructed between 1910 and 1913 for a major trading enterprise and quickly drew attention in the city. After the war it served various institutions, including a notable company in East German industry.

The building displays architectural features from early industrial modernity with curved gables and towers that shape the streetscape. These design elements reflect the ambitions of Leipzig's industry and make the structure a marker of that era.

The building stands near Leipzig Central Station on Brandenburger Street and is visible from the street. Visitors should know that it is an active commercial building and not accessible everywhere.

The building once bore the name of a well-known company and was a hub for specialized goods. Today it houses unexpected shops with little connection to its original industrial purpose.
