Wasserturm Delitzsch

Wasserturm Delitzsch is a brick structure with yellow and red stone work that stands out clearly in the town's skyline. The tower features a broad base that tapers toward the top, with traditional plaster detailing that emphasizes its solid appearance.

The structure was built in 1903 to supply water to the expanding town and served as crucial infrastructure for decades. It later received protected heritage status and underwent major renovation work beginning in 2020 to become a hotel and restaurant venue.

The tower's name reflects its original role as a water supply facility, and it continues to shape the town's visual character today. Visitors encounter the distinctive brick facades that speak to the craftsmanship of early 20th-century construction methods.

The building is now accessible as a hotel with restaurant facilities where visitors can explore the interior and dine. The attached restaurant occupies the former water tank area and accommodates a larger number of guests.

The building was expanded with a seven-story annex that integrates seamlessly with the original structure. This modern addition preserves the tower's original architectural features while creating an interesting contrast between old and new elements.
