Dom der Rhön

Dom der Rhön is a church in Helmershausen featuring three stacked galleries supported by round columns. The interior space is covered by a wooden barrel vault that arches across the entire building.

Construction of the church started in 1736 under Pastor Wilhelm Christian Höpfner's direction. Local craftsmen supplied materials and labor, working together to build the structure.
