Gut Leidenhausen, Former farm estate in Eil, Germany
Gut Leidenhausen is a rural estate with multiple buildings from the 18th century, including a gate building with a distinctive square tower. The structures are arranged around a courtyard and preserve details from different construction periods.
The estate began as a noble residence and later became an important stud farm. In the early 1900s it was equipped with a horse racing training ground, though this use eventually ended.
The name possibly relates to a local stream that runs through the grounds. People gather here for events and social activities within the restored farm buildings.
Walking and cycling paths cross through the grounds and lead to nearby woodland areas. Visitors can explore the buildings and have direct access to the Wahner Heide and Königsforst nature reserves.
The square tower displays two clocks on opposite sides with red faces and white rings. Though visually striking, these clocks have long stopped keeping accurate time.
