Altstädter Schule

Altstädter Schule is a school building in Celle known for its clean horizontal lines and extensive glazing across the facade. Regular window rows and glass-enclosed stairwells define the design, creating a light-filled interior structure.

Built in 1928 by architect Otto Haesler, the school attracted significant public attention at its opening. It quickly became a noted example of modern school architecture in Germany and beyond.

The school building represents the Bauhaus architectural style and stands among the ten most important international structures of this movement.
