Palla, Textile factory complex in Glauchau, Germany.
Palla was a textile factory complex in Glauchau featuring multiple buildings designed for weaving and industrial manufacturing operations. The site contained interconnected structures that formed a complete working production facility.
The site originated in 1951 from the merger of two weaving mills called Ernst Seifert and Boessneck & Meyer. It operated until 1994 and was later demolished entirely in 2012.
The factory represented a major industrial center in Glauchau, employing numerous workers and maintaining educational facilities for textile production training.
The complex no longer exists today as all structures were demolished in the early 2010s. Visitors can only walk through the empty ground where the factory once stood.
During the East German period, the operation ran six separate factory locations and supplied textiles to international clothing brands. This geographically dispersed production was characteristic of centrally planned socialist manufacturing.
