The château rises at 361 meters above sea level, featuring multiple baroque buildings including a main structure, gate tower, and chapel within its grounds.
Built between 1721 and 1728 for Lothar Franz von Schönborn, the château followed architectural plans created by Anselm Franz von Ritter zu Groenesteyn.
The property hosts the annual Shamrock Castle music festival since 2011, where folk-rock band Fiddler's Green performs for numerous visitors.
The venue offers multiple halls for events and celebrations, with a terrace overlooking panoramic views extending toward Bamberg, Forchheim, and Erlangen.
The château transformed from a retirement home in the late 20th century into an events venue, maintaining its historical baroque staircase and architectural elements.
