Between 1804 and 1806, Karl Ludwig August von Hohenthal commissioned the construction of this classical estate, with Johann Carl Friedrich Dauthe as architect.
The estate represents the architectural preferences of German nobility in Saxony-Anhalt during the early nineteenth century through its design elements.
Located 21 kilometers from Leipzig and 37 kilometers from Halle, the château now functions as private housing with restricted access to its grounds.
The northern section contains a landscape park with a castle pond and a memorial dedicated to Johann Jacob von Hohenthal.
