Museumsfabrik Pritzwalk

Museumsfabrik Pritzwalk is a city museum housed in a former textile factory and presents regional industrial history through different exhibition areas. The building itself shows how factories once looked and how people worked inside them.

The building was once the Draeger textile works and represented an important economic factor for the town. After conversion to a museum in 1954, this industrial site became accessible to the public.

The place shows the history of textile production that shaped Pritzwalk for generations. Visitors see tools and products from that era and understand how important this industry was to the town.

The museum is easy to reach on foot and has several stairs between exhibition areas, so visitors should use the elevators or be prepared for steps. It is advisable to allow time to explore the different rooms and outdoor areas.

The museum operates functioning historical printing workshops and hand-weaving areas where visitors can watch real crafts in action. From the observation platform, there is a wide view over Pritzwalk and the surrounding area.
