Schloss Zörbig, Medieval château in Zörbig, Germany.

The castle stands on a hill south of the old town, encompassing 3.4 hectares of land with a moat dividing the grounds.

The structure originated as a Slavic fortification in the 10th century, first documented in 961 as civitas Zurbici, later controlled by the Wettin dynasty.

The KulturQuadrat Schloss Zörbig houses a local history museum, city archives, municipal library, and the Victor Blüthgen performance hall.

From October to December 2024, the museum operates under limited hours, with guided tours of the cold war bunker available every hour.

The castle complex includes a preserved German Democratic Republic civil defense bunker, accessible through scheduled guided visits.
