Pahnaer Lake, also called Großer See Pahna, is a roughly 25-hectare lake in the Middle German Lake District near Altenburg. It fills the flooded remnant of the "Augusta" lignite open-cast mine, which closed in 1956. The Campingpark Pahna stands directly on its shore, with 80 tourist pitches, 380 annual pitches and 30 holiday houses.

The lake formed from the flooding of former mining areas and was developed into a recreation destination in eastern Germany. This transformation turned the shoreline into an important leisure space for the region.

The lake serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors spend time together by the water throughout the year. The shoreline features fishing spots and swimming areas where people regularly enjoy leisure time with family and friends.

The lake has boat ramps and parking areas that make accessing the water straightforward. Visitors should note that water conditions and weather vary with the season, so planning accordingly is helpful.

The lake is leased by the Fockendorfer Angelfischerverein 1989 e.V., and its fish stock includes grass, bream, silver and mirror carp alongside tench, rudd, perch, pike, eel, bitterling, asp and American crayfish. Divers and anglers share the 25-hectare water that filled the former "Augusta" open-cast pit after 1956.
