Netzsch-Arena

Netzsch-Arena is an indoor ice rink in Selb with a main ice surface surrounded by seating for roughly 4,000 spectators, including covered sections. The venue accommodates ice hockey, figure skating, and ice stock sports within its enclosed structure.

Construction started in 1976 and the building opened in 1977 for its first match. It was created as a home for the local ice hockey club and has shaped the town's sports life ever since.

The venue serves as the home base for the local ice hockey team, the Selber Wölfe, where fans gather to watch matches and support their players. Figure skaters and ice stock sport athletes also use the facility for their competitions.

The rink opens to the public on select days for skating, particularly on weekends. Before visiting, check the current schedule and know that skates are available for rent on-site.

The building was constructed using substantial amounts of steel and timber to achieve both stability and the necessary interior height for sporting events. This solid construction has allowed the structure to endure for decades without major changes.
