St. Willibrord

St. Willibrord is a Catholic church in Euchen featuring a robust square tower on the south side with round-arched windows and a straight choir arrangement. The building displays clear proportions and solid brick construction typical of regional church architecture.

The oldest section of the church, its square tower incorporating Roman bricks and stones, dates back to the early 13th century. The building experienced changes over centuries while maintaining its fundamental structure and character.

The apse painting of Christ, created by artist Philipp Schumacher in 1924, underwent restoration in 1985 following wartime damage.

The church is easily accessible and located among open fields in the Pfarrei St. Sebastian district. Visitors will find regular services held and a cemetery with graves spanning multiple centuries.
